Texas Statistics
Since my last post on October 24, six men have been executed in Texas. There were three others executed in October and there are eleven more executions scheduled in Texas before the end of March. In total, Texas has executed seventeen since resuming executions in May. If they execute all eleven of those with execution dates set before the end of March, they will have executed twenty eight men in less than a year. For perspective, since the Supreme Court decision in May, all other states combined have executed eighteen individuals. That means Texas is a single execution behind the entire rest of the country COMBINED.

What point are you trying to make here? So what if Texas has a high rate of people sentenced t the death penalty. What does this mean?
I was just pointing out for readers how much more aggressive than ANY other state Texas is as to the death penalty. I think its a travesty how many people Texas puts to death on a regular basis. That's all it means... no need for me to go into further sociological analysis.
I think that Texas just strongly believes in the death penalty. I am strongly for it because if someone takes a life or messes up someone elses life emotionally by raping, torturing them or their family that person deserves to die. It has nothnig to do with people who believe in the death penalty are murderers themselves. We just want justice to be served right and no bsing around it by sending criminals to "rehabilitation" and such. That stuff doesnt work. The death penalty does justice.
I think it is ridiculous. It is almost like people have no hope in Texas. We would execute an innocent person. To someone who opposes this adamantly, this is a huge problem. One state equals out the rest of America in killing people? That is sadistically impressive.
Texas is ridiculous with their amount of executions. Innocent people included. It is terrible to think that this occurs and is one of the reasons I wish to put an end to the death penalty. It is an interesting topic on Texas though! Keep fighting the good fight!
